Museum of Royal Barges

Rebuilt in 1966 according to Ramón Andrada's project and located within the Prince's Garden near the pier, it houses one of the most spectacular collections of boats that the kings of Spain used to sail the Tagus River and even the Sea of Ontígola. Among all of them, the highlight is the royal barge that belonged to Charles IV, created in Cartagena and decorated by Salvador Maella, and the very ancient gondola of Philip V, which actually dates back to the period of Charles II (17th century). In addition, visitors can enjoy paintings related to the Spanish fleet of the 19th century, as well as a set of bronze cannons from the reign of Ferdinand VI and various utensils for the navigation of royal barges.
