The Holy Week in Zafra features eight brotherhoods that bring together more than 6000 members: Oración en el Huerto (Prayer in the Garden), Rescate (Rescue), Jesús Amarrado a la Columna (Jesus Tied to the Column), Humildad y Paciencia (Humility and Patience), Jesús Nazareno, Silencio (Silence), Santo Entierro (Holy Burial) and Soledad (Solitude). It has been declared a Fiesta of Regional Tourist Interest due to the majesty of the processions through the streets of this beautiful town, which is a declared historical-artistic site in the province of Badajoz. Noteworthy are the procession of the Christ of Humility and Patience on Wednesday, and that of the Christ of the Brotherhood of Silence, in the early hours from Thursday to Good Friday.
