September 8th is celebrated as the Day of Extremadura and since 2020, also as the Day of Valverde de Leganés, with the aim of promoting our town and extolling its natural, heritage, and historical assets, as well as to enhance the feeling and pride of being from Valverde. To commemorate it, on the night of September 7th, the INSTITUTIONAL EVENT is held in the Plaza de la Constitución, where different recognitions and MEDALS OF VALVERDE DE LEGANÉS are awarded to various individuals and groups from our municipality. As part of the day's events, the valverdeña WHITE NIGHT is celebrated, featuring activities and performances in various corners of the center of our town.
