Part of the trail coincides with the SL-BA 251 "El Marco" and the PR-BA 101 "Los Castañales".
The trail begins next to the BA-052 road or Chandavila, leaving the town through the alley of the Martyrs in a steep ascent between cork oaks and strawberry trees to join the Valdemoros path to the PR-BA 101 until reaching the highest point of the route, in the vicinity of the Barrero house, where they separate. The route turns eastward next to a kaolin extraction quarry, a mineral used in the manufacture of agrochemical products, overlooking the Matasiete mountain range, another area with mineral resources where the existence of gold has been confirmed since Roman times. It crosses the shady side of the mountain through a remarkable cork oak forest accompanied by rockroses, heathers, and lavender, where you can observe the Portuguese sundew (Drosophyllum lusitanicum), one of the insectivorous plants present in Extremadura that attracts its prey with an aromatic and viscous substance in the form of red drops to which they become attached.
During the route along the foothills of the mountain, there is a perspective of the town, the orchards, and the green corridor formed by the gallery forest of the Gévora River and the La Codosera stream, watercourses included in the Natura 2000 Network where, in addition to the environmental richness, there is a large number of mills; some tourist service companies in the area offer the best way to discover all these values. The route returns to the BA-052 road, following it for a few meters towards Chandavila, until crossing it at the point where it meets again with the PR-BA 101 and heading together to La Codosera along the old Chandavila road, where the SL-BA 251 joins until the end of the itinerary.
