The route begins on Av. de Portugal towards El Bacoco, turning onto Calleja del Calvario and immediately taking the dirt track that ascends through a eucalyptus grove. It reaches the Camino de los Castañales, where it joins the SL-139 towards the Valdemoros path, until the vicinity of Casa de Barrero where both trails separate. The route continues through the shady side of the mountain range among cork oaks, rockroses, and underbrush, where it is likely to observe forest birds such as warblers, crested tits, or woodpeckers, heading towards the Monte Viejo area and crossing the road that connects the hamlets of El Bacoco with La Tojera, coinciding with the PR-BA 265 from this point to the area of Los Bastos and diverging when taking the path to La Tojera; these population centers on the border were consolidated as a result of the end of the wars between Spain and Portugal with the signing of the Treaty of Lisbon in 1864, which definitively established the border between the two countries. Leaving the hamlet behind on the BA-052 road towards El Marco, then leaving it after 1.8 kilometers to once again take the path to La Tojera towards the La Rolera area. Ascending around the north face of the Matasiete mountain range, passing once again by Casa de Barrero, to reach one of the highest points of the route and begin the descent towards the Sanctuary of Chandavila, where in 1945 miraculous apparitions of the Virgin of Sorrows occurred, commemorated every May 27 with a festive-religious pilgrimage of great tradition. Then it briefly follows the BA-052 road to cross it and head towards La Codosera on the Old Chandavila Road, first joining the SL-BA 139 trail and then the SL-BA 251.
