To start this route, we will drive along the road that leads to the Sanctuary of the Virgin of the Remedies. After about two kilometers, we will reach a stone cross, and in the existing esplanade, we will leave the car to start the route on foot. We will walk along the dirt road, which runs parallel to the road for about five hundred meters. The landscape is of ancient olive trees, those of the estate known as 'Carretero', and from the beginning of the route, we will be in the territory of holm oak.
Once we climb a small slope, between stone walls and pastures, we will arrive at the watering place known as 'La fuente de la Parra'. There we will see a fountain that is currently completely dry, but which was once a permanent spring of water, where we could even find a pair of otters, as well as different water birds. This water was the driving force behind the sixteen flour mills that we will see along the route.
The area is perfectly represented by what is known as the Mediterranean forest with the corresponding shrub plants and the holm oak pasture. We will also see some cork oaks, poplars, and various fruit trees. Another important element is a 'Batan' that once served for tanning.
