We will head south, along a dirt road that runs through farmland, olive groves, and vineyards. We will observe the lesser kestrels, which have arrived from African lands to breed here. In the olive grove, we may be surprised by the call of the little owl. To the right, we will observe an old hut or shelter, now restored and privately owned. Further on, we will find remains of a flour mill and a good view of the foothills of Sierra Morena, as well as villages in the neighboring province of Huelva.
Arriving at a crossroads, we will take the right exit, parallel to the "Arroyo del Álamo" also known as "Los Linos". On the left, we see a very well-preserved waterwheel. And we will already be in the midst of the holm oak pasture. We enter a path lined with holm oaks where the treetops touch each other. Here the path becomes a bit more difficult, but the view of the mountains to the south is worth it.
Now we are in the municipal area of the town of Higuera la Real; we will reach another crossroads, take the one on the right, to enter farmland. We will be surprised again by the path lined with sturdy cork oaks, inviting us to rest and contemplate the beauty of these trees. We will continue through farmland and olive groves, passing through different orchards to reach the "Lavaderos or Pilones" in Fregenal de la Sierra, where the route ends.
