Although it is presented as a short route, 1.65km round trip, its great interest endorses its practice. Both near the starting point and at the destination of this trail, we can visit (by appointment) some very interesting caves. This route runs parallel to the Montemayor riverbank, surrounded by holm oaks and cork oaks, accompanied by shrub species such as holm oak, hawthorn, viburnum, and mastic. As for the fauna, the presence of bats also stands out. Up to 8 different species can be observed, which causes the place to be classified as SCI (Site of Community Importance) and SAC (Special Area of Conservation) within the NATURA 2000 NETWORK. The route ends at the "Cueva del Agua", the largest of the set of caves in Fuentes de León, a wonderful karstic space occupied by a large lake 200 m long.
