With this route, we delve into the ecosystem of the 'dehesa' while recalling the tradition of this region by traveling along a livestock route such as the Cañada de la Urraca until we reach Siruela.
The path starts in Tamurejo to take the Cañada de la Urraca, which we will not leave until we reach the town of Siruela. After the first 2.5 kilometers, we reach the Tamujoso Stream, a tributary of the Siruela River, which we cross through its ford, leaving the Siruela River valley to our right.
Subsequently, we cross the Almagro and Salanillos streams, also tributaries of the Siruela, entering a very well-preserved 'dehesa' with extensive sheep and cattle farming without any significant environmental impact. These livestock farms allow us to enjoy a humanized but very well-preserved ecosystem thanks to the sustainable use of resources, as is the case with the 'dehesas' of Extremadura.
