The trail starts next to the Museo del Jamón de Monesterio and the Maestro Juan Calero Secondary School. We depart from this point towards Sevilla, passing by the ham drying facilities located in the El Cerezo industrial estate until we reach the 'rotonda del jamón' (ham roundabout). We will take the second exit, following a short stretch of the N630, and soon we will arrive at the picnic area next to the Cruz del Puerto. Next, we will begin a descent, taking the second right fork we come across. We will enter a pasture area and pass by some orchards, with the Tumbo hills standing out to our left and Aguafría (1,079m) and El Castillo (1,008m) to our right, until we reach a new fork. We will take the left path and thus reach the Culebrín stream – one of the best-preserved in the area – with a gallery forest and a great diversity of flora: elms, ash trees, willows, poplars, ferns, etc. We will start to ascend and the path becomes narrower, passing by an orchard to our left, and then we will reach a new fork. We will take the left one and, passing through plots with chalets, we will arrive at the Tentudía campsite. If we continue along the lower path, there is a picnic area, and opposite it is the hotel built by the town hall. To return, after crossing the bridge at the entrance of the campsite, we will begin an ascent along a paved lane to the Cruz del Puerto – escorted on our right by the highway and on our left by the pasture of the Valle de los Cotos and the Sierra del Castillo.
