This local trail begins once we have passed the Monesterio Soccer Field, at which point we turn left to continue along a paved stretch, leaving the 'depuradora' on our right to enter our trail. A pillar or watering hole welcomes us on the left bank of the Dehesa Stream, sharing the itinerary used by pilgrims of the Camino de Santiago in this first stretch. Once we descend along the path, we must cross the stream at the height of another pillar that we will find on the left bank of the stream, leaving behind the Livestock Path of the Vía de la Plata. Already among the dehesas, where such good products are obtained, we will begin a slight ascent between stone walls and chaparros that come our way. Once we have reached the top, we turn right, and at the next fork, we turn left to descend along a rough path, from where the Bodión Valley can be seen. To our left in a plot, we can observe several piles of stacked stones called 'mojonera.' Upon reaching the bottom of the valley where the Calaero stream meets the Bodión River, there is a small pond and a picnic area where you can rest. We will leave a path that leads to the Tentudía dam, beginning an ascent towards the Coso hill, on the outskirts of Calera de León, from where the contrast of landscapes between the cereal plain and the mountains can be observed. In Calera de León, majestic in the main square of the town is the Conventual Santiaguista - a National Cultural Heritage Site. This was the Mother House of the Order of Santiago during a period in the second half of the 16th century, and its construction corresponds to the first third of the same century. Today it is a dependency of the Town Hall of the locality. To return, we can follow the road that connects this town with Monesterio, and after a kilometer, we can get water from a fountain, and soon we will reach the Tentudía reservoir. Then we will begin an ascent to the area of the Cinco Chopos. At the height of the old landfill - magnificent panoramic view of Monesterio - we turn left to descend along the Colada del Ejido, which has been improved with the installation of benches and tree planting. We will cross the Cañuelo stream on the wooden bridge and reach the Circumvallation Roundabout in the pool area.
