We start the route in the Southeast area of Higuera la Real, where we find the Hermitage of Nuestra Señora del Socorro, located in the small square that bears its name. We continue eastward where we will encounter a crossroads with two dirt roads, taking the one on the left. We will reach a widening where we continue to our right, and we will find the "Fuente de Gargallón" whose spring supplies the stream and the mills along it. We continue our path and to our right, we begin to see the irrigation ditches through which the water flowed to the mills, and turning right at the first path we continue parallel to the ditch leading to "Mill No. 1". We follow a narrow path that will lead us directly to "Mill No. 2" located at a crossroads, we will have to continue straight ahead (towards the south). At the next crossroads, we will turn right, and we will arrive at the gates of "Huerta Rosil, Mill No. 4".
It is here where our path delves into the area of the ravine, which has a kind of elevated stone walkway on its right margin to traverse it during the rainy season as water runs through it. Venturing into the shade of the area, we must continue always by the stone walkway and pass under a metal bridge. This section will take us next to two mills, just at the exit of the ravine.
We will continue south in this section, much more open and elevated above the stream where there is a broader view of the natural surroundings.
Later at another intersection of paths, we must turn left (towards the south), here the ground is cement, we begin to descend to the Río Álamo. This area runs past the rest of the mills that can be observed to the left of our route, and to the right, we can see the back of the Hermitage of Nuestra Señora de las Nieves located on a higher slope than the path on a private estate.
We will arrive at "Mill No. 22" located next to the bridge of the Río Álamo; we cross this bridge and access the estate located next to the river on the right of our march (extreme caution is advised as there are wild cattle inside the estate) The path we will travel is a public path, we will continue on it without taking any detours and we will open the gates we find, always with the caution of closing them again.
Once we find a circular stone construction, we will continue forward and in approximately 300 m., we will leave the path to our right, where a fence that gives access to the "Capote Site" can be observed; to enter we continue the fence to our right where finally there will be a gate through which we will enter the estate. We will climb to the top of the mountain and the excavations of the "Capote Site" can be observed.
