We will start the Pitera Route in the northeast of Higuera la Real next to the Pilar de los Siete Caños, where we will return to finish since it is a circular route. We will have to cross the road to continue the route, where we can observe a restored old waterwheel. We will have two paths in front of us, we will take the one on the right to continue our route. About 800 meters from the start, we will take the right turn again; it is a fairly steep slope in a ravine, we will start to climb with a significant incline (from these areas, the views of the municipality are privileged). This path will lead us to a crossroads where the transversal is the road to Jerez de los Caballeros, currently asphalted, as we will take the direction to Jerez de los Caballeros (left), until we reach another crossroads where we can see a series of picnic areas to our left and where the Fuente de la Pitera is located, where we must leave the asphalt to turn left onto the path that continues next to said fountain. Here we leave to our left the estate of "Caño" and for approximately 2.5 km we will advance parallel to this estate, until we reach the next intersection that we will find. At this intersection, we will make a 300º turn to our left; in this new section, we will gradually enter the pasture area where we can see holm oaks and cork oaks, as the forest becomes denser, we will descend and gradually "change" the pasture for an area of eucalyptus trees. Next to these is the Municipal Shooting Range, once past it, we will have to observe another crossroads of four paths to take the left and gradually arrive at Higuera la Real by following straight ahead. Finally, we will arrive again at the waterwheel that we saw at the beginning of the route, but this time we will come by a different path than the one we took at the start.
