The path begins on Avenida de Las Palmeras, continues briefly on Avenida de Extremadura before quickly turning onto Calle Oviedo until the end, then veers left at the fork onto Calle Pilarito. A few meters ahead, at the next fork, turn right to continue on the paved road until reaching Mirador del Puerto del Castillo. Once past the port, there is a purple sign for the Castillo indicating a left turn that leads directly to Mirador del Castillo. The path ends in the esplanade at the foot of the grand Castillo de Herrera del Duque. This entire route can be done by car and is actually signposted for vehicles.
