The route begins by descending along the old road, until reaching the junction with the section coming from Helechosa de los Montes, where we will turn right, crossing wide meadows and passing several stone bridges that cross some valleys. A few kilometers further on, a steep descent begins leading to the Cíjara Palace. Past the palace, the next kilometers involve several turns, ascents and descents, until reaching the end of the route at the bridge of the N-502 road that connects Herrera del Duque and Castilblanco. ROUTE CHARACTERISTICS On foot: length 22.20 km; walking duration 5 hours; medium difficulty. By bike: 1 hour 45 minutes. Slope 120 m. Linear route. VALUES - Entirely signposted route. - Vegetation: Holm oaks. Wild olive trees. - Fauna: Deer, fallow deer. Waterfowl. Black stork. - The route includes the Cíjara Palace-Castle.
