Named after a large stone found in the Ribera de Olivenza valley, the Piedra Aguda Reservoir was built in the 1960s and has since created a unique landscape. The dam is 30 meters high, has a capacity of 16.3 hm3, and floods an area of 250 hectares. The shore is populated with eucalyptus, holm oaks, and cork oaks. As for the remaining fauna and flora, they correspond to the characteristics of a Mediterranean climate and forest: rabbits, black storks, cranes, eels, snakes, scorpions, common linnets, southern frogs, common toads, and marbled newts. ----- Google Maps: https://maps.app.goo.gl/tixAfFoSrmTtuiceA
