We begin this short route classified as a Local Trail at the start of La Calabaza. Here, an information panel introduces us to the characteristics of this route and its starting point. Crossing through the roads of La Calabaza, we ascend the path that takes us to the highest point, where the Camino de Sacabarros forks, a place where a monolith has been placed in memory of the milestone that marked the end of the Emeritense territory in Roman times. The Roman milestone is located in the Badajoz Museum, and there is a replica in the Town Hall of Valencia del Ventoso. From the crossroads, we continue along the Camino de Sacabarros until the next fork where we leave the Camino de Sacabarros and head towards the Camino de la Madrona. We will stroll along this historic and beautiful path until the entrance of the Casa de la Madrona where we radically change direction and take the Camino de Vinagre, another historic path that has been restored thanks to the joint action of the Town Hall and the La Bujarda Hiking Association. Along the Camino de Vinagre, we will complete this part of the route that will take us out to the Zafra road, at the height of the Gas Station, where we head towards the Village, and after covering 200 meters of asphalt, we leave the road to take the Senda del Vino on the right, which we will follow until the end of our route, concluding at the height of the Silo. This SL, Local Trail, aims to provide a walk through the nearest surroundings of the Village, and are short journeys of no more than 10 kilometers, which in this case allows us to enjoy the environment of the Madrona and Vinagre paths.
