We leave the village via the Silo to take the Colada de Atalaya path, which will descend to the Bodión and then continue to Atalaya once the river is crossed by the stepping stones. The first significant point on the route will be the Cañaveral Recreational Area, an old resting and watering place of the Colada de Atalaya and also of the Colada de la Senda, as here the intersection of the two paths created a small oasis of shade and water. From the Cañaveral, we will descend quickly down the path to reach the bank of the Bodión at the height of the stepping stones. Without crossing the stepping stones, we will continue our route following the current of the Bodión. Along the left bank of the Bodión river, we head towards the area of La Retuerta, where the river creates a large meander changing its direction and embracing the small peninsula on which the Cortijo de la Retuerta is located. But before reaching La Retuerta, we will see on the other bank two clusters of ruined mills of great importance in their time, the Molino de Rochas and the Molino de La Meona, on the bank of Atalaya. We leave behind the largest of the meanders of the Valencian Bodión to continue in search of the northernmost lands of the municipality, the so-called North Point located opposite Escoboso, in the territory of Valverde. From the North Point, the Bodión river will undergo some small changes in direction until it calms down in the small reservoir formed by the construction of the dam that serves to accumulate water that will produce the energy for the San Luis Electro Flour Mill. Here the Bodión creates the dam of the same name, which regulated by a gate diverts the river towards The Factory. This dam is located a few meters before the Vado de Valverde where the Camino de Lomo Ramos crosses the river towards Valverde. Once the Bodión river is crossed, on the other bank a magnificent Recreational Area with canoes to stroll the Dam will appear. Until here, the path was always in slight descent, but these last meters will be uphill from the river to the houses of Valverde where we will end our route along the Bodión.
