Built in 1942, from the beginning it was established as one of the most important villas of the post-war period. It belonged to Elisa Carpi, wife of Count Joaquín Bau, president of the council of the Kingdom. Currently, it is owned by the Benicàssim City Council, which uses it as a venue for sociocultural activities. Its appearance is completely Renaissance. The side towers and the winding terrace supported by the porch's arcades are surprising. In its garden, one can find a monumental tree, an Australian fig tree, as well as palm trees, pines, and more than thirty different plant species.
Villa Elisa was the setting in 1999 for the filming of 'Second Skin', directed by Gerardo Vera, starring Javier Bardem, Jordi Moyá, and Ariadna Gil as the main actors. It has also shared the spotlight with Villa Victoria, the setting for the series about Blasco Ibáñez, which was filmed by the Valencian Luís García Berlanga in 1997. This director also shot the comedy 'Boyfriend in Sight' at the Voramar hotel in 1954.
