Even though La Mussara ceased to exist as a village over fifty years ago, the ruinous remains of the town continue to be one of the most interesting points in the interior of Baix Camp. In addition to still being able to contemplate the structure of the streets and some houses, the abandoned village offers spectacular views of a large part of Camp de Tarragona.
This depopulated area has gradually become an emblematic place for hikers and cyclists. La Mussara, which had its own municipal area until 1961, is located in the mountain range of the same name, at 990 meters above sea level. For over half a century, the nucleus has been uninhabited, and of the buildings that existed, only a few remain in a ruinous state.
