Second stage of the GR 131, from Roque de los Muchachos to Refugio del Pilar. The views it offers are impressive, as it overlooks the Caldera de Taburiente National Park and allows you to admire, on one side, the southern slope and, on the other side, the northern slope. It is a long route, although it allows variations such as climbing Pico de la Nieve through the PR LP 3 and taking the route or, instead of ending at Refugio del Pilar, taking the detour to another charming point on the island: the hermitage of Pino de la Virgen. Along the way, near Pico de la Sabina, you can admire a tagoror, as this area was of great importance to the Auaritas, the island's first inhabitants. Special attention should also be paid to the curious rock formations of original shapes that are found.
