Located in the north of the province of Albacete and just 35 kilometers from the provincial capital, Fuensanta is surrounded by the municipalities of La Roda, Tarazona de La Mancha, and Villalgordo del Júcar. The history of Fuensanta begins with the appearance of the Virgin of Los Remedios to a shepherd in the year 1482, at the exact location of what is now the Chapel of the Fountain. In 1671, with a population of 40 residents, the segregation from La Roda is achieved and it becomes an independent town. Finally, in 1672, the segregation of Fuente Santa is confirmed.
