The history of Fuensanta begins with the appearance of the Virgin of Los Remedios to a shepherd in the year 1482, at the exact location of what is now the Chapel of the Fountain. In 1671, with a population of 40 residents, the segregation from La Roda is achieved and it becomes an independent town. Finally, in 1672, the segregation of Fuente Santa is confirmed.
