Civil building

The Romanesque bridge of Puente la Reina gives its name to this town, which is the capital of the Ilzarbe or Valdizarbe valley, in the Middle Zone of Navarra. This bridge over the Arga River was built in the 11th century, apparently at the initiative of a queen, who may have been Lady Mayor of Castile.
