Cherry Festival

The Cherry Festival of Milagro, featuring the 'Pinta' cherry, is celebrated on the second or third Sunday of June and coincides with the harvest in the same month.

In 2024, it will be on June 16. (Date pending confirmation)

Milagro is a town in Navarre with about 3,300 inhabitants, located in the Ribera Arga Aragon region. The cherry is the hallmark of this riverside town.

Origin... a few history tidbits
The Cherry Festival of Milagro was first celebrated in the year 2000, specifically on Sunday, June 18, with the intention of highlighting this fruit and its 'Pinta' variety unique to the town. This fruit stands out for its color, firmness, and sweet flavor.

What is it / What does it consist of
"From Milagro come the cherries" is the slogan around which this event is organized. Although there are events throughout the weekend, Sunday is the main day. Highlights include the 'Milagro Cherry' Dessert Contest, the Crafts and Food Fair, musical performances, and of course, the fairground where homage is paid to the cherry with over 300 stands. More than 30,000 kg of cherries are sold.

Cherry Festival of Milagro: curiosities
As a curious fact, you should know that more than 15,000 people visit this festival every year. Over the years, more and more people are attending, not only from Navarre or neighboring provinces, but also from more distant provinces.
