Casa Junco baroque mansion |
It is the only Baroque mansion in Palencia and had several names before being given the present one. It was known as Casa de la Administración Vieja, Casa de las Rentas Reales, Cossio Junco, depending on what it was used for or the surnames of the different owners it had.
It was built in 1733 by order of the archdeacon of El Cerrato, Ángel Aguado Pardo y Aguado del Molino Navarrete, surnames that appear on the coats of arms on the façade. It is built in ashlar and brick in the characteristic Baroque taste of the rural nobility.
It has been declared an Asset of Cultural Interest and a Historic-Artistic Monument
