Military building

Built at the end of the 12th century, Olvera Castle was part of the defensive system of the Nasrid Kingdom of Granada, until its capture by Christian troops in 1327 led it to become a bastion of the Crown of Castile. Its strategic position, at 623 meters above sea level, allowed for the observation of the border line of castles that separated Muslim and Christian Spain.
