The Costume and Traditions Museum, in SB Messines, is located at the entrance of the village, in a typical house of the Algarve interior, specially restored for this purpose. Designed based on the vast collection left to the Rancho de São Bartolomeu de Messines, this museum displays pieces related to the popular traditions of that village, from the late 19th century to the early 20th century. The educational activities in this museum include plastic expression workshops and 'Story Time' conversations between the different generations, in order to provide the transmission of knowledge and oral traditions of these populations, especially to future generations, that is, the preservation of the intangible heritage of the community.
