Monastrell

Monastrell, also known as Mataró or Mourvèdre, is a variety of black grape with compact clusters and small, thick-skinned berries. Originally from the Catalan countries, it is widely grown in the Valencian Country. It has been used to produce fortified wines and dessert wines.
