The route starts at the park next to the roundabout on the ring road, where we take the Robledo road. In these first meters, we share the route with the PR-CC 29 "Ruta del Robledo" and SL-CC 4 "Ruta de los Pilones" trails. After traveling about 700 meters, directional arrows indicate that we should turn left and enter the trail next to a house.
From here, we only share the route with the SL-CC 4 trail. We will descend the Canaleja road through beautiful alleys, which will allow us to enjoy lovely spots and great views of the "Llanos de Cáceres". After covering 2.7 km, we reach a fork, and the section shared by both trails ends. We turn sharply to the right to head north on a path flanked by stone walls.
The route will descend among holm oaks and cork oaks, leading to a dehesa landscape, which will accompany us to Torre de Santa María. We cross the town following the street signs. Heading south, we gradually ascend the Canaleja de la Torre road where we can stop at the Fuente de Valhondo. In this area of the route, we share the itinerary with the PR-CC 29 "Ruta del Robledo" trail, which after 1.2 km of the route, separates again, with directional arrows notifying us of this. Walkers will encounter lands dedicated to olive groves and small orchards. The route will culminate at the "Alto del Robledo" from where one can admire a beautiful view of Montánchez with its castle in the background. The circle that forms this route will close upon returning to the Robledo road and passing again by the source of the Salor River, which flows into the Tagus basin.
